Sydney defeated Perth in the A League Grand Final in front of a record crowd of over 56,000 at Optus Stadium in Perth. The game was decided in a penalty shoot out after no goals had been scored during the 90 minutes or during extra time. Sydney's 4 shout out goals came from Adam Le Fondre, Brandon O'Neill, Rhyan Grant and Reza Ghoochannejhad. Perth's goal was scored by Juande.
