The Celtics had a pretty well balanced attack tonight with some help from the bench in tonight's win against the Raptors. Marcus Smart was the Player of the Game in my eyes with a team high 21pts while also adding 8 rebounds and 6 assists. We've stressed the need for playmaking and Smart has been doing a great job of that but we also saw a new face lead the team in assists tonight. Jayson Tatum, while he struggled mightily on the shooting front, added 10 assists tonight and was doing it by penetrating and finding the open guy which is exactly what we've been calling for all season long. What made the difference tonight was other guys hitting those open shots like Richardson and Grant. Grant continued to stay hot while adding 15pts and officially becoming a 50/40/90 guy which puts him in elite company. Overall, this was a fun one to watch and we haven't had much of that recently. The Celtics still need to clean up their game a bit because 17 turnovers in any game is way too many but they made up for it by getting to the FT line 31 times. This win is nice BUT can they keep it up on Wednesday as they start a very tough December schedule.
