Granta celebrate the launch of Granta 127: Japan, with an event at Free Word Centre. Contributors Hiromi Kawakami and Yukiko Motoya come all the way from Japan to discuss their work and introduce you to their country.

In ‘Blue Moon’, Hiromi Kawakami reflects on mortality and the limits of translation, while in ‘The Dogs’, Yukiko Motoya depicts a loner living with a mysterious pack of dogs in an icy mountain cabin.
