Today, I am fighting some inner demons. I am so grateful for the connection of our Daily Gratitude Call. So grateful there is a place I can go every day to be with my fears, to lay my soul bare and know I am loved, God is with me and to believe that my life is meaningful. A place to go to gather the strength to stay true to my path.

I am learning how to strengthen and how to weaken this physical vessel we call a body, our earthly home that we carry with us wherever we so. 

Our physical body is critical, it is the tool we wield to take action on the urging of the spirit. And it is mortal. it is limited. Our time here has an end.

I can choose fear that I have not done what I am supposed to do. I can worry that I will be struck down as in the parable of the fig tree, because I have the appearance of bearing fruit, but I am not fulfilling my potential. I can doubt that I will live to fulfill my purpose.

Or I can believe. I can believe that God is with me, supporting me. I can believe that he knows every failure and every victory. 

I believe.

We don’t have to do mortality alone. In my extremes of pain and joy, suffering and celebration, I feel the compassion and pure love of my Savior and of those around me who are feeling similarly. Connection of love through empathy is unmatched.

There is a specific type of learning and experiencing that happens on Earth, in mortality that could not have happened any other way. God planned, created and provided all that was needed for us to have our ultimate experience of mortality.

Truly living is to reach beyond mortality. To choose to live beyond the limits of One’s earthly years. Whether that is to live with urgency in building something that outlives us or perhaps it is just living every day as if we were immortal…WITHOUT LIMITS!

Either way, I believe it requires a changed heart, I believe it requires the investment of a whole heart,
