We live in a society where people believe they are entitled to having all of their desires fulfilled. When this doesn’t happen, they feel victimized. When it does happen, they are ungrateful. Some people spend their whole lives saying, “I will be grateful when…” You fill in the blank. However, the truth is gratitude is a result of a certain kind of character, not a result of a set of circumstances. Gratefulness stems from the understanding that all of life is a gift given to us by God.
