According to www.webmd.com “In fact, your skin will regenerate itself approximately every 27 days”
In that number of days, we are literally brand new! The person you are looking at in the mirror 27 days from now is a completely different person on the outside than you are looking at today.
How cool is that? To think that we can be brand new every 27 days!
I have adopted some new language that is serving me in regenerating faster on the inside too. I used to say “I am working on my”, now I say “I am putting the finishing touches on the version of me I am today”
When we step outside of our comfort zone, we are creating a whole new set of circumstances to learn and grow from. Just like a brand new baby being born out of a safe protected world where all its needs are provided for inside a warm perfect womb, we are being born into a new world where we have to do what we can to survive by relying on others to provide for our needs until we can do it ourselves.
A baby is super happy and excited to learn and grow. As a baby, we naturally regenerate faster than at any other stage in our lives. I am excited to see if as an adult, I can choose to grow and regenerate as quickly as a baby.
Some thoughts inspired by Phil and Mary on our call today:
A tragedy can create an opportunity to become new if we look up and embrace what’s next. A crisis can bring people and circumstances together like no other. We may feel as vulnerable as a baby, but remember that babies are also pure, clean, innocent beings who almost everyone loves to serve!
The scriptures say we must become as a little child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Could this be part of that ‘becoming’…to be super excited and comfortable with change?
I believe we are able to create our own simulated crisis by choosing to turn our own world upside down with the choice to regenerate.
How fun that Kathy, one of our live call participants, mentioned MAKEOVERS! A home makeover, a facial makeover, a wardrobe makeover, a mindset makeover…all are a beginning. A makeover puts us into a setting where we can actually see some results. Seeing evidence is the first step to making lasting change.
So be proactive and choose to turn your world upside down by having a makeover experience today to get the process started of becoming a NEW YOU!
