Gratitude for a Sure Foundation
I am grateful for my knowledge of Christ as my sure foundation. He is always there, I can always depend on Him.
I know He is a Living God and I know that this is true because I feel the truth of Him in my heart. But even if I didn’t know it for certainty, it would serve me to believe there is a sure foundation in a God who was willing to give His life for me, a God who has a perfect love for me, a God who supports me whenever I ask.
God gives us all our basic needs, a sure foundation. We have the Light of Christ, knowledge as it resonates in our hearts, and even our basic physical needs are all available within nature if we know how to look for and utilize what God has given us. As we notice, acknowledge and trust the sure foundation, it becomes more solid, tangible, real beneath our feet.
Other things we hold onto can crumble or disappoint, but He is the Rock. We need to do the work, but He is our inspiration and our strength in doing the work.
“The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” -Psalm 18:2
His paths are straight, and therefore, simple and easy.
Truth is a sure foundation. We have solid ground to stand on when we are building on truth.
Today, I Give Myself Permission to Trust My Sure Foundation
- God has control
- I rely on the true Source
- I feel relief and peace knowing God is at the helm
- I am confident in God’s leadership
- I ask and I trust God’s answer
- I move forward feeling a sure foundation beneath me as I progress
