Gratitude for Betrayal

Listen Later

I am so grateful for those who God can use as key players in our experience. Judas Iscariot was a key player in the mission of Christ. I am grateful that there was one willing to play that key role.

Judas’ part, brings to mind a principle that I teach often to my clients:

If you are not proactively involved in your own creation, you will be a key player in the creations of others.

It’s ok! We need those key players! But if you want to be the master of your life, you need to be deliberately moving towards a chosen vision day by day.

So, what if you are the creator?

That means you are going to be learning and growing daily. And growth means lessons. God always gets our attention first before class is in session. Extremes get our attention. They interrupt the normal patterns of thinking and activity.

And that means we need key players to help get our attention that teach us those lessons.

So whether you are the betrayer, or the betrayed, it is all perfect and necessary for the ultimate completion of your mission and purpose.

Choosing not to trust, or making a judgment about someone for an action that feels like betrayal usually serves us in the moment, because it helps us feel like we are in control again after a pattern interrupt. But applying that choice to all circumstances and all people does not serve. Eventually the determination to keep moving forward will show us the need to trust some people, and gain a broader perspective.

The wisdom of experience can help us make good choices, but ultimately to move forward without long term pain and suffering, we need to just let go of what things ‘should’ look like, and let God use key players and experiences to help us grow to our full potential, until finally we stand before Him, having finished our work to the best of our ability.

Today, I Give Myself Permission to Welcome Key Players Into My Growth Experience

  • I see all people and experiences as a step in my progression
  • I am true to God, myself and my Mission
  • I am aware of others and the role they play in my growth
  • I choose partnerships that align with me and my purpose
  • I am guided by God to the perfect partners
  • I am open and excited to allow today’s experiences to unfold
  • I know that God has a bigger plan, and I allow Him to show it to me
  • I give the reins to God whenever I am blind to what’s next
  • God always knows the purpose, and He knows what’s next
  • I trust God’s judgment
  • I give the judgment to God and I focus on me
  • I am grateful for the key players in my life
