At the beginning of the year, I made a decision to dedicate the year to developing a new Christ-like trait. And the inspired thought came to me to choose a name that Christ is called that resonated with me.

At that time, “The Word” was the name of Christ that most resonated with me. I love words for the power they hold in creating the life I choose.

Within a month or so after I chose that character trait to develop, another name of Christ,”The Living Water” applied very deeply to my journey, so I added that to my character traits to deliberately learn about. 

For many months, I focused on these two and gained tremendous insight into Christ and His life and purpose using only those two names as a source of study. I also found how I can be The Word and the The Living Water for others in His stead.

Just a couple months ago someone suggested that I am a healer. I pondered that word and really didn’t want to receive it. I think of Christ as The Healer, I am merely a facilitator of healing by leading souls to Christ for their healing.

However, the thought occurred to me to add it to my Christ-like qualities to develop and see what happened.

Just merely putting the words “I Am The Healer” on my vision board to repeat every day opened my spiritual eyes to new understanding of how I am that in my own life and in the lives of others!

This exercise since January, 2019 has now enabled me to accept that I am:

• The Word
• The Living Water
• The Surgeon
• The Healer
• The Way
• The Light
• The Good Physician

and now this morning – The Rock

Of course, there is only one who is all these things – our Savior Jesus Christ. I have covenanted with Him to take upon myself His name. These are all his names. Just as I took upon myself the name of Benson when I married my husband, I am taking upon myself these names and becoming part of His family, and acting as a daughter and sister of Christ. 

I act in His name in the capacity of the words I speak, in the life I give to those who are wilting, in showing the blind spots to my clients and inviting them to cut it out, in providing the means to release the pain and become whole, in sharing the inspired map to living a life of purpose, in reflecting the light of Christ, in being a solid place to lean on during change…and now I get to learn what it means to be The Rock.

Each new trait I develop increases courage and confidence in who I am and in who others perceive me to be. All my traits together is the whole package of “Wylene”

In the past, the whole package of “Wylene” may have represented fear, doubt, scarcity. Today, because of the perfect experiences in my past, my whole package represents something altogether different.

When I am at the edge of what I know, it’s necessary to take a leap of faith to see what else I am made of. Today, on the call, I was reminded that I don’t have to do it alone. My Savior is alwa
