Gratitude for Divine Order

Listen Later

Interesting thoughts came to me in our 90 seconds silent meditation on Divine Order this morning. What if the great plan of life is not God’s plan, but that it goes beyond God and it is THE Plan, that even God plays a role in?

Hold on – hear me out…

I know it is God’s choice and desire that we come to Earth to have a physical experience, test our mettle and then return to Him having lived a good life. But what if He is following the order of laws that have always existed?

And what if…

We each have our role to play in THE Plan?

I know that my role is specific to me. And that your role is specific to you. I am sure that all of us have experienced the chaos that happens when we try to live someone else’s life for them.

If I focus solely on my role in THE Plan, what can I become?

What if He gave us lemons and oranges, and gave us the ability, the privilege and even the duty, to create grapefruits? Or what if He gave us all the tools to make a greenhouse and expected us to figure out how to eat fresh veggies all year round?

God created the basics within and around the earth to call upon as resources to magnify our natural abilities and add to His creation, beyond the basics?

St Matthew, Chapter 25 tells of a man who gave his servants talents and expected them to increase them before His return:

Beginning in verse 14: “For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. Beginning in verse 15: “And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.  And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. after a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them…”

What if the reason for being here is not just to become the best that we are naturally, but to use the resources here on Earth and the divinity within us through our Godly parentage, to increase our natural ability five, ten, or even a hundred fold? That is God’s typical style of abundance.

We know we are great, because our spirit confirms that we are already divine. Does it make sense that the goal is just to return to that state of prior greatness? Or, according to scripture and the evidence of nature all around us, is it possible that more is required?

There are forces and counter-forces that compel us and distract us from becoming the best that we know that we can be. How much more will those counter-forces work against us (and thankfully, through the blessing of opposition, the positive forces work in our favor) when we set our sights on something greater than even our spirit is able to comprehen
