The biggest lesson I have learned from all my experiences designed to teach me something is:
I AM STRONG
And the key to transitioning from a feeling of helplessness and hopelessness in the middle of a trial, to feeling empowered is…you guessed it…GRATITUDE!
If you can find gratitude (and I promise it is there) in any circumstance, you take back your power and you enable yourself to find a solution or choose a different path.
Our life lessons give us an opportunity to reach up to God to have something solid to hold onto while we regain our footing. They also cause us to reach deep insider ourselves to discover strength we didn’t know we possessed.
Sometimes we experience the same life lesson over and over again. The situation may be different, but the experience is familiar. Obviously, if this is happening, we are ready and capable of learning the lesson. It has just not clicked in yet.
If this describes you, I suggest you humble yourself and get an outsider’s perspective so your blind spot can be exposed. In some patterns, it is only when we are shown the pain we are creating in our own lives, that we finally make the choice to choose to embrace the lesson.
Cigi, on our call this morning, suggested that we almost always associate life lessons with hardship. But if we look, we can list our successes side by side with our struggles. It is possible to recognize and even embrace our life lessons when we know that they are preparing us for a huge success on the other side of the lesson.
Also, there are equally as many life lessons that prove we are strong, as there are lessons that show us our weakness. Just as you can find amazing fails on Youtube, you can also find amazing successes.

As long as we know the difference between a life lesson that produces destruction and a life lesson that produces growth, we can always learn the right lesson. God’s only purpose is to lead us to light and life. Satan’s only purpose is to lead us to darkness and death. I believe Satan gets blamed many times for lessons that really benefit us.
When we make the choice that learning is easy, then life is easy. We will always be growing, so we will always be learning.
