Gratitude for Lightning
I and my husband witnessed a phenomenal lightning storm last night! The power that was manifest was incredible to behold.
I was struck this morning by the analogy of lightning with the spiritual connection that happens when we tap into our own source of personal inspiration.
I used to be so resistant to change, staying in my patterns of struggle for years or even decades until I discovered the light that simply giving a moment to meditation can bring.
Just like lightning, this light of intuition illuminates the scene for a second or two. It allows us to capture a glimpse beyond what was evident before.
Like lightning, trusting our intuition brings an energized electricity that inspires us to take action when we know of certainty which way to go.
Lightning is almost always accompanied by rain. Rain washes the world clean and also expands our view. Ruby, on our call today, spoke these poetic words: “A storm is the apex of cleansing and thunder the applause of change.”
Just think of the power and awe you feel when lightning and thunder hit close to home almost simultaneously. It commands attention and an awe-inspired word.
Just as exponentially awe-inspiring is the power that is created when the lightning of pure inspiration received is simultaneously coupled with the thunder of bold immediate action!

- I generate powerful change by coupling my enlightened understanding with bold purposeful action
- I am alive with and electric energy
- I give time daily to the power of inspiration
- I harness the power of light
- I command attention for I AM the storm!
