In my Daily GPS this morning, I was inspired by a scripture to consider deeper, Christ’s hand in helping me create.
Isaiah 44:24 – Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
In the past, I have seen myself as creating my life by the words I speak. But now I see that I create by the Word…Jesus Christ. He is my Advocate to the Father. When I ask for things that are based in light, truth, growth and life, He is my advocate. The thought that Christ is willing to carry my requests personally to the granter of blessings proves my significance in His eyes.
When I ask for things that are based in fear, I cut Him out of the equation. Satan is the author of fear. So based on the motivation of my request, I choose the partner I am working with. Christ cannot be where fear and darkness exist. So Satan has free reign to lead me at his will when I am in fear.
Yesterday, my husband and I expressed gratitude for the closeness that we have maintained through all of our trials. In doing so, we realized how perfect our trials have been for us, individually and as a couple. Seeing this, we both readily adopted the belief: “My Life is Perfect!”
Clint and I felt extremely significant in the eyes of Christ because of the trials we have experienced.
Coleen, on our call today noticed that the first four letters in the word ‘significance’ is ‘sign’. When we feel insignificant, we can’t see the signs all around us that prove our significance. If we just look up, we will see those signs.
And when we truly believe that we are significant in the eyes of Christ, we know without a doubt that we can trust and have faith in Him, just as a child is significant, individually and as part of the family, to a parent.
Today, I Give Myself Permission to BE the Significance that Christ Sees in Me
