My first thoughts today, were in regards to the law of the harvest, and the cycle of planting and growth necessary in order to have something to harvest.
I have specific habits and tasks, I have set for myself, that naturally produce the outcome I want. Although, it has become, it seems, almost predictable that I don’t finish this list on a daily basis.
Returning to thinking about the law of harvest, the greatest amount of work seems to come at the beginning. In the spring, preparing the ground, planting seeds, this all takes a great deal of effort. Once the seeds are planted and watered, and after they’ve sprouted, really it’s a matter of letting them go.
There is some rest period of simply allowing them to grow. At harvest time, there is some increase in necessary work, as you gather and preserve the fruits of your labor.
Perhaps with the cycle of my daily tasks and habits, there are new systems I get to create and implement, or maybe there are things that I can remove. Whatever the case, I am excited to see what I get to learn.
The cycles we experience in life are repetitive and there are great things we learn through repetition. We can find predictable cycles all around us, within our bodies, technology etc.
We are given wise guidance in Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 1: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
Today, I Give Myself Permission To Embrace the Cycle I am Currently Experiencing
