Gratitude For Reliable Patterns
Over the last couple days I have had some client calls where certain patterns have emerged. It’s interesting how we as people, want something to be different, though, we keep expecting that other people will change when they’ve proven time and time again, that they’re going to act a certain way.
We can’t change another person. We can only expect that they will continue to show up that way, until they decide to change. We have control over how we feel about the situation and what we believe about the person. We can change the way we speak, and invite the person to change.
However, until they decide to take another course, they will continue in that pattern. We are fooling ourselves if we expect different when we ourselves don’t make changes.
The world we live in would be in complete chaos if not for reliable patterns. God created predictable patterns when He created the earth. Learning and applying reliable patterns help us to accomplish great things.
Creation happens in the midst of chaos. There is always purpose within the chaos. We can allow uncomfortable, messy situations to occur, and know that beautiful creations are coming.
Today, I Give Myself Permission To Establish New Reliable Patterns
- I love and embrace change
- I am filled with excitement for beautiful things to come
- I know wondrous opportunity lies outside my current comfort zone
- I am filled with thrill to experience new things
- I am grateful for firm, reliable patterns
- I know God loves me
- I am confident through every season of life
- I live on neutral ground always
