Have you ever listened to and watched the music video of “Sounds of Silence” by Disturbed? If not, here is the link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Dg-g7t2l4 . Best Cover of a song in history in my opinion!
The feelings that are invoked with this are amazing. As I watched this, the sound of silence, to me was people not connecting with others. God created us to interact with each other, to share our gifts and talents.
If we try to create our path alone, we are missing so much of what God intended this life to be.
There are many sounds we hear, laughter, family and friends, a friends voice on the phone etc. There are specific ways our bodies react and respond when we hear these various sounds.
Music is a type of sound that can invoke intense emotion and have deep impact on us. We can learn from and appreciate all the sounds we hear.
Today, I Give Myself Permission To Listen And Hear
- I listen, hear and act
- I am co-creating with God, anything is possible
- I observe and find gratitude in all the sounds I hear
- I clearly hear God’s voice
- God always provides a way
- I am blessed with the best people for me to connect with
- I listen to others
- I am grateful for all the relationships I have in my life
