I have a mentor whose super power is bringing all the chaotic pieces together to create an amazing outcome. Her name is Lara Helmling. For me, she has been my hub for everything that has been needed to launch my book and my mentoring business. She is a genius!

But she has this thing that she does, where she tries to keep everything in the back of her mind so that it doesn’t all fall apart.

That is so crazy, because she would not even be capable of letting things fall apart! Her super power is bringing things together. Things just naturally come together around her!

I have a feeling that we all fall into this trap of believing what we fear most, according to what we are gifted at. If we are gifted at healing, we fear being broken. If we are gifted at abundance, we fear financial insecurity.

By being present with who we are, all those fears fall away. We realize what we have been fearing could never happen, because we would never allow it!

To think we need to control what we are gifted at is like thinking that God is standing in heaven like a puppet master holding all the planets in their orbit, and he is planting every seed in the earth.

NO! That makes no sense! God’s gift is creation and even beyond that He has a gift of perpetual creation. He set everything in its place so that He didn’t have to stand over it for eternity.

Because God created the world and then gave Man dominion over it, and commanded everything to multiply and replenish perpetually, He can be free to hear our prayers and be in the moment with His children, guiding and directing us.

Mary, on our call has spent so much of her life in fear, she expressed gratitude for finally being able to realize when she is in the moment and when she is in fear of the past or present.

There is my stuff, there is other people’s stuff and there is God’s stuff. We are not responsible to save the world. That is God’s stuff. We are not responsible to even save one person. That is their stuff.

During the holidays, I feel sometimes we lose sight of being in this moment. We worry about how Aunt Joyce is going to receive her gift, or how Uncle Eddie is going to embarrass us at the family Christmas party.

Our minds constantly interfere with our being present. We are plagued by the memories of the past, worry of the future, and the shameful beliefs we carry with us But if we incorporate our heart, soul, spirit, acknowledging our natural gifts and invite the Holy Ghost, the infinite sacrifice of our Savior and the love of God into the mix, we can be present in this moment and move beyond fear to light, faith and love.
