I am really beginning to believe that my biggest arch-nemesis in life has always been gravity. Now look, I get the basic ideas of astrophysics and I understand - as best I can - the ideas of Einstein and others, so I know that without gravity, one of the four forces of nature, I - and by the by, you - would simply not exist. I get that gravity is useful in daily existence and movement.
That doesn't mean it's not my fiercest enemy. In fact, over the past few years, almost annually, gravity has reached up and grabbed me, seemingly just to remind me that I have mass and velocity, which means that there are immutable laws which cannot be violated. The chief of which is simply this: Gravity Always Wins...
Part of the bigger issue with our society today is that we have forgotten so many of the basic rules of society which leaves us with no clue how we are supposed to behave, let alone should behave. A few years ago, fans at sports events began to beat up opposing fans. Why? Now if you go to a sporting event, even as a personal invitee of one of the teams owners, you better not dare be seen enjoying yourself with the "wrong" people.
