Which do you prefer — physical strength or wisdom? Physical strength does not last, but the strength that comes from wisdom remains. When we open our hearts to Heaven’s graces, we gain wisdom given to us by God through our experiences. Certainly, with wisdom we grow more than
gray hair. We shall “still bear fruit in old age” (Psalm 92:15). Such fruits include peace, contentment, and seeing a greater sense of purpose in our daily living. So, what do we do with the wisdom we gain? We are called to share the fruits of our wisdom with those around us. Truly, value and dignity come with age and wisdom, although we may not always feel appreciated. Do not worry. Instead, feel the joy of the Lord! God-given wisdom protects us by helping us to make the right choices each and every day.
