The next recession/depression that is coming very soon will have the worst characteristics of past recessions: the stagflation of the 70's, the tech bust of the dot-com, the economic hardship of the GFC and of course it would have the same (or worse) drop in standing of living for the average person. Sadly that's what the decisions of the people in power of government/central banks are going.
