The founding team became friends in 2015 sharing a passion for sustainability, agriculture, technology and the outdoors. After varied careers working in NGOs, sustainable construction and bamboo planting across Africa, India and Sri Lanka, COVID brought them together again with a joint ambition to take action.

They first entered Stockholm’s ClimateTech scene after joining STING’s Climate Action Accelerator and later moved into the wider European ecosystem joining EU Climate KIC’s first Carbon Removal Accelerator. They worked closely with Hans-Peter Schmidt and the European Biochar Certificate to develop the world’s first biochar carbon removal methodology for landowners in the tropics.
