Elijah, feeling hopeless and purposeless, was reminded by God that his mission was not over and that God still had a plan for him. Though Elijah thought he was alone, the Lord revealed thousands had not bowed to Baal, showing that God always preserves a faithful remnant. God not only renewed Elijah’s purpose but also gave him the task of anointing Elisha, ensuring that His work would continue through future generations. Even in seasons of despair, God calls us to obedience, faithfulness, and passing on His mission so that His glory endures beyond our lives.
