THE SYNAXARION
On the 23rd day of this month, we celebrate the Synaxis of our all-holy Lady Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary in Prousos.
Verses
Rejoice, O Greece, with Aetolia now,
On Prousiótissa’s resplendent feast.
The Icon from old Proussa hath become
A stream of wonders and the Maid of Greece.
On the twenty-third, Prousós stands in awe of God’s Mother.
Through the intercessions of the Theotokos, O God, have mercy on us. Amen.
