Welcome to our series on the Great Wall of China. Whilst it is focused on the wall this series will be about Chinese history in a broader sense. Therefore, the first episode starts way before construction of the wall. We're going to give you some context by taking you through the first dynasties of China and into the periods known as the spring and autumn period and the warring states period.
