The first thing people usually think of when it comes to animal welfare organizations is adoption and foster care for pets. But you might be surprised to learn their mission goes beyond simply finding homes for pets.

 

In today’s episode, we’re speaking with the team from the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. Anne Caldwell and Spencer Batcheller are focused on putting an end to homelessness for pets within the animal world.

 

It starts with education and preventing animal homeless in the first place. For instance, one of the programs that the Humane Society runs in Alabama is to provide services or pet food that help families keep their pets at home.
