MALLIKA KHAN
Hi! I'm a Social Research Master's graduate with 8+ years of experience within critical social psychology, mental health, EDI and intersectionality. I'm interested in developing a career within EDI, campaigning, research and lecturing; with a particular focus on (1) decolonising/diversifying various career fields for young Black and people of colour, and (2) exploring the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ BIPOC influenced by intersectional minority stresses and resilience.
Aside from this, I am an multi-disciplinary creative, who creates art, writes poetry, performs spoken word, and delivers creative, interactive workshops for diverse audiences that touch upon social justice issues and the importance of nurturing acceptance. As an artist, I work with mixed materials to create expressive hyperrealistic paintings thats have been exhibited in galleries across the UK. As a poet, my work explores topics surrounding race, gender, sexuality, and other minority stress traumas which have been published in various journals and anthologies including Arachne Press, Brain Mill Press, and Auxocardia.
