You may remember him from “The Dunk” during his college days, as it is one of the more memorable and exciting moments in Clemson basketball history. But that’s not where it all started, and we get to hear all about where it did! We got former Clemson Tiger and 10-year NBA veteran Greg Buckner in the house! You will absolutely love the laughs and stories shared in this episode.
Buckner was a standout player at Clemson as he led the team in scoring and started every game ALL four years. He went on to be a 2nd round pick for the Dallas Mavericks where he was a key contributor for a franchise on the rise with a new owner named Mark Cuban and a roster led by a young Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki. Buckner went on to play a key role with Philadelphia and Denver before finishing his career in Memphis.
We loved our time with Greg and we can’t thank him enough for his time. We enjoyed hearing about the Dallas Mavericks transformation, his growth as a player, the business of the NBA, and of course a few Dirk, Nash & Rodman stories! We know all of you will love this one. We know we did!
Thank you Greg Buckner!
