315: Greg Hildebrandt on his Art, Inspirations and Star Wars

Artist and illustrator Greg Hildebrandt, of Brothers Hildebrandt fame, sits down with us to discuss the famous Star Wars poster, his artistic inspirations and so much more. There is no other image that brings you back to the classic days of Star Wars than the legendary poster of Luke holding his Lightsaber above his head, Princess Leia with her blaster at the ready, and the LOOMING ominous helmet of Darth Vader floating in the background.      This poster was illustrated by brothers, Tim and Greg Hildebrandt, back in 1977, but you may also recognize their artwork from the best-selling Lord of the Rings calendar, The Harry Potter magic card decks, Star Trek and Marvel Comics, the Shadows of the Empire trading card set, his recent series of Pin-Up Beauties, and several pieces for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
