If you are looking for a podcast about passion for the game of baseball, you’ve come to right place because this episode’s guest is Gregg Ritchie, head coach of the George Washington Colonials. The upcoming season will mark Coach Ritchie’s fifth as the Colonials’ head coach. His team is coming off their fourth consecutive campaign with at least 20 victories and the program’s first back-to-back trips to the postseason since 2005-06. A 1986 alum of GW, Ritchie returned to his alma mater prior to the 2013 season after serving as the hitting coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In his first season with the Colonials he was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year after leading GW to a 15-9 record in conference games and to the program’s first Atlantic 10 championship berth since the 2006 season.
