Dr. Waleed Al Tamimi is head consultant of the clinical biochemistry lab at the King Abdulaziz Medical City in Saudi Arabia and an expert in in clinical chemistry, laboratory quality, and healthcare worker safety. With a PhD from the University of Essex and a Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, he is board-certified in the USA as well as in Saudi Arabia. A professor at King Saud University for Health Sciences, he has led the Saudi Society for Clinical Chemistry (2013-2017) and authored over 80 scientific papers and five books. In addition to this, he is corporate director of lab quality and compliance for Habib Medical Group (HMG) and was president of the Saudi Society for Clinical Chemistry from 2013 - 2017.
