I appreciate this conversation with guest, Lisa May Bennett, about our shared history around grey-area drinking, sobriety, and the way in which addictive patterns can keep us stuck. We talk about our personal journeys with alcohol and how it can get in the way of closely-held dreams. Full disclosure - Lisa has embraced sobriety and I have had short sprints with it.
We talk about the paradox of accepting a seemingly good life but forsaking ALL that is possible because we don’t want to give up that ONE thing. In Lisa’s case, giving up drinking altogether was essential to pursuing her goal of becoming a writer and published author. She did it! I
In my case, I’m still asking a lot of questions of myself…
