What's going on everyone!
Happy New Year and I hope everybody is taking this year for themselves! For this new season, we are doing things bigger, better and differently! For Season One, it was all music based and all about Nashville music. For Season Two, we want to incorporate that Nashville scene, but make it more personal. I am SUPER excited to have Aidan on the show to talk about dropping out college, Belmont University especially, and what it means to defy friends and family to do something you're passionate about. Currently, Aidan is 22 years old, originally from Indiana and now living in Nashville as a professional drummer. He dropped out of Belmont, like myself, but more recently, so we talk about Belmont as a School of Music + navigating outside of the Belmont bubble into the real world.
I hope this speaks to someone as we both felt schooling wasn't the best use of our time and energy, and by all means, are not encouraging anyone to drop out immediately, rather, to use your head and thoughts to decide whether or not school is right for you. This is a touchy subject, and this only pertains to Belmont/a music career, but any questions you may have regarding dropping out, schooling in general, or how we did it and our process, do NOT hesitate to reach out via email to [email protected] or IG @OfficiallyByGrey.
Thank you for listening and thank you to everyone who has supported and will continue to support our channel! Let's make it a great year!
Sincerely,
Jameson West Grey

In this final episode of SZN I, we sit down with Jacob Fox. An amazing creative and person who shares his story of finding his passion, art, and love for music and other creative things.
Jacob Fox spent months traveling the country in pursuit of a photography career, only to find himself by chance landing in the Nashville music scene. After a year of working as an assistant he recorded his first song “Send My Love” which has reached over 110,000 streams on Spotify. Since then he has amassed over 250,000 streams in his first 10 months doing music and is looking towards an even bigger year in 2022.
Thank you to everyone who has listened to this podcast through these last 3 months of the year. We appreciate everyone taking the time to listen and give feedback. IF you want to be on the podcast, feel free to shoot us a DM or email.

Hello hello!
Back again with another Musical Monday episode featuring the devilishly handsome Gabe Baker! An amazing talent and overall person from Texas making his mark in Nashville, TN.
Gabe is a Texas born and raised, multi-talented R&B-soul/folk singer-songwriter, cellist, and guitarist based in Nashville, TN. With music influences from artists like Sam Cooke, Bill Withers, Leon Bridges, Amos Lee, Daniel Caesar, and Bon Iver, he journeys to make music that is authentic, positive, and connects with the heart and soul of his audience. While his music journey has been lifelong, his career began during the covid pandemic out of the unique inspiration from being on a music reality tv show and lessons learned through the grief from the passing of his mother in 2019. His move to Nashville in July 2020 catapulted him into the vibrant and competitive community as a songwriter, performing artist, and studio session cellist.
All of his information and links will be down below. Thanks for listening!

Hello,
Today's episode is not only with another band member I play for but also a talented and amazing individual, Dorian Lackey.
Originally from Cincinnati, OH, Dorian Lackey grew up surrounded by music: from studying music at a young age, to joining his church youth and high school choirs, to being a front man in an all male A Cappella group at The Ohio State University and playing an important role in a professional group called Gentleman’s Rule.
Over the years, Dorian has honed his craft of songwriting, vocal production and arranging. With years of unreleased music and the itch to pursue his dream, he relocated to Nashville in 2019 in hopes to not only become an even better songwriter, but also to finally start releasing projects of his own, as well as to collaborate with other artists in the city. Though a Pop/R&B artist, he enjoys writing just about any genre of music as a songwriter: from Country to Jazz, to Pop/Soul, to Blues, to Acoustic and Alternative, and more.
With the success of his feature on Sarah Taylor’s “The Chase,” he sought out to start releasing his solo projects. January of 2021, he joined The Song House, a group of songwriters than come together and write hooks in 30 minutes, then post them onto TikTok. Dorian found success in a song that he fronted, called “Suga Suga,” which accumulated over 7 million views on TikTok. The popularity and demand from listeners pushed Dorian and his team to quickly finish the song, which is now his first single and is out streaming everywhere.
Dorian plays around Nashville very frequently so be sure to check him out there!
Thanks again for listening and being a part of the Greyscale Podcast,
Sincerely,
James Grey

Hello,
In todays episode, we are talking with one of Nashvilles very own (NVO), the lovely Shawney Rainne. She is a strong and empowering black female entrepreneur, artist, brand, and business owner. We go through everything from how she started her business (EBCM Everything But Country Music) to putting on festivals and showcases. We also talk about her artistry and what she as a brand and person is trying to accomplish here in Nashville and outside the city. Join us for some great quality talks about business, fun (getting to see Luda!), and everything in between!
EBCM, Everything But Country Music, was created by Shawney Rainne, a soul-pop artist, model, and all around entrepreneur. The inspiration for EBCM is to Create Equal Opportunities for Creatives in Music City, and is a platform that showcases & builds diverse & talented Nashville Artists.
Shawney has also been featured in MTV’s Siesta Key, debuting her song “Liar” and works closely with SWV member Taj George. She is currently gearing up to drop new music under new management at the end of 2021.

Hello,
First ever podcast up and running! I can't believe this is the first EVER thing I am putting out as my own, James Grey, but also under the bigger name and brand, By Grey.
In this "episode", we are going to talk about who I am, your host, but more importantly, what we want to accomplish with this podcast. The goal of this podcast is simple : Informative and elevating : What do we mean by that? It is our mission to be as informative, positive, and helpful to not only our listeners but also ourselves and guests. The By Grey brand stands for empowering and elevating other individuals platforms combined with ours.
That being said, here is what you can expect going forward! Monday's will be reserved as Music Mondays. The only episodes you will hear on those days (subject to change) will be relating to anything in the music/entertaining industry. That can include but not limit to : interviews with music industry "taste makers", artists themselves promoting songs, what it's like in the industry, and more!
On the flip side, Fridays are reserved for our "fun" Friday's. This is a bit of a toss up in terms of topics. We may range from entrepreneurs and business people to funny stories/advice. While we definitely want to have a structure here, we also want to stay in tact and productive with scheduling. This all subject to change as we grow and learn more. However, if you have a topic you would like us to cover/subject, feel free to DM us (@ByGreyMedia) or email us at [email protected]
Thank you again and I want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Everyone.
Sincerely,
James Grey
