This is part 1 of a topic that is long overdue for me. However, in God’s time, through the urging of the Holy Spirit, we are finally discussing grief and the grieving process. I am joined by Dr. Nickol Calhoun, DMin to discuss this topic that touches each one of us in some way. Most of us have lost someone or something so close to us that it made us want to cry, even to cry out. If not, we know of someone who has been through loss or even a series of losses. Grief is all around us. It was there before the pandemic, but it has now become heightened during this trying time.

In this broadcast, we will consider the definition of grief and the grieving process from the point of view of the one mourning, from the point of view of the one coming alongside the mourner to offer comfort, and from the role of leadership. Dr. Calhoun will also provide us with some basic tools necessary to understand the natural process of grieving and to walk alongside those who are mourning.
