Mimi Gonzalez, MSOP, is an influential community organizer and creative, deeply committed to diversifying the narrative of the death positive movement. As an Obama Foundation CLC Scholar and a three-time University of Hartford alumni, she engages communities through her podcast "griefsense", her online platforms, and in-person events like The Grief Sala, promoting crucial conversations with brands, creatives, and activists. Honored among Connecticut's 100 Women of Color in 2020, Mimi leads a consultancy in creative and organizational development. Her services span from providing anti-oppressive and inclusive copy services, to rethinking bereavement policies, to Gen Z-focused event consulting and strategy. Mimi's work crucially bridges dialogue and action in understanding and resilience around loss.
