CW: Grief, Death

Hello, Podwalkers, and welcome back to another episode of the Goblin Lore

Podcast! May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the plan is for all the

episodes this month to relate to important topics within Mental Health. We are

also participating (along with other excellent creators) in #MentalHealthMtG and

attempting to raise money for MH Organizations!!

Earlier Hobbes put out a call

[https://twitter.com/HobbesQ/status/1516426608957079552] for Magic Story related

to Grief and people answered with everything from storylines (Feldon

Ajani, Kamahl) to Flavor Texts to Card Names to Art. Grief is a tough topic to

tackle and we had previously reached out to our friend (and fellow Hipster of

the Coaster?) Ryan Sainio [https://twitter.com/RyanSainio] about finally doing

an episode. He has been open about the loss of his sister and today he discusses

his personal journey with grief (he has touched on it in a scripted audio drama

[https://sainiocast.libsyn.com/episode-331-remember]). This also leads to an

examination of the Stages of Grief popularized across Media and why they might

not

be the best way to discuss this difficult process.

Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter

[https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/] (with a link to where you can offer

support both monetary and not).

We also are proud to have partnered with Grinding Coffee Co

[https://twitter.com/grindincoffeeco] a black, LGBT+ affiliated and owned,

coffee business that is aimed at providing coffee to gamers. You can read more

about their mission here [https://grindingcoffee.co/pages/about-us]. You can use

our partner code [https://grindingcoffee.co/?ref=GOBLINLOREPODCA] for discounted

coffee!
