Hi everyone,

Dedicated to my dear Dad. A man of great faith and a fiercely protective (and biased!) father and husband.

Thank you for joining me for this special edition of the Withstand Podcast. Today marks twelve months since my Dad went home to be with Jesus. The grief and the searing pain that his enormous absence has brough remains, but so does the blessed hope (and knowledge) that I will see Dad again, when I too, go home to be with the Lord.

Today's episode consists of a short reflection, a couple of highly relevant daily devotions from Charles Stanley and abridged episode that Dad and I recorded in July 2024. There may be a reference or two that is no out of date, but the main reasons I wanted to share it are threefold:

• Dad's quirk and humour are in full flight in this ep
• Dad's faith and grace are also in full flight herein
• Dad's fascination with Revelation 13 (specifically, the Mark of the Beast) has never been more relevant today. We discuss cashless societies and read through this part of Revelation 13 during this special episode.
