Welcome to Embers and Wind!

In talking about his Communications Mastermind, guest Larry Kettle states: “People hear you with their ears, but they listen with their heart. In that course we talk about if you talk to a person in a language they understand they will hear you. But when you talk to them in their language, they will listen to you. And sometimes people don’t understand different one’s love languages. We don’t speak the same language even if the language we’re speaking is English. Not everybody looks at things the same way or talks about things the same way. And so learning how to listen is one of the greatest components of connection instead of just over talking. For instance one of the things we go over is that when people are listening to somebody talk how many times are they in their own minds going over what they are going to say when this person gets done. And so they’re listening to respond instead of listening to understand or listening to support. And so in this course we teach people how to listen to understand.”
