Grit: firmness of mind or spirit : unyielding courage in the face of hardship or danger.
Simply put grit is : Endurance to the end!!
The word grit is not found in scripture but we do find words with the same meaning!
Endurance: The ability to withstand hardship or adversity
especially to sustain a prolonged stressful effort or activity.
Adversity is not your adversary! Adversity is a gift of Gods
grace that produces grit/endurance!
Gritty men are not born! Gritty men are made! 
They are made gritty from the grace of adversity!
