As Pastor David continues to teach us through Romans we will be learning that God requires us to give up our lives that we may be more like Christ. Christ said, “If anyone desires to come after Me they must deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Me.” We must have a humility in order to deny ourselves, we must be willing to suffer in the flesh for Christ’s sake. Christ wants us to take up our cross and follow Him. If the Spirit is not in control of our life then the flesh will have full control.
