Job promotions,  or lack thereof, are a part of being a working adult. Most people don't want to do the same thing forever, they want to grow and take on more responsibility. Let's face it, the extra money doesn't hurt either. But when you are passed on a job promotion it can be heart-breaking, and a pretty big emotional letdown. 

This is the situation that our friend Amy finds herself in. An emotional Amy called us desperately seeking the advice from our friends. She had just been passed up for a job promotion, and to make things worse, the person that was promoted in to the position was once a trainee of hers.
