It's Group Therapy Thursday! 

Dear Ted and Amy,
I’ve been dating a girl for about six months now. We don’t live together. I recently found out that her ex still comes around to do “man stuff” around her house – he’s helped with shoveling a couple of times this winter, I know he’s helped her with her car. He’s pretty handy so he comes over to make house repairs every now and then. She just mentioned that he was going to make sure her lawn mower is in good condition before he needs to mow over there.  I asked her if he’d still be doing it now that I’m in the picture and she said he was because “he’s always done it and it’s just easier”. I’m not exactly a handy guy. I mean, I can mow a lawn, but when it comes to repairs, it’s probably better that she uses someone else. It just seems kind of weird to me that the “someone else” will be her ex. She doesn’t see it as an issue. Am I making too big of a deal about this? I know relationships are all about trust but this just seems strange to me.
