It's Group Therapy Thursday day! 

Dear Ted & Amy,
My husband likes to take “bucket list” trips to concerts, festivals etc. - with his friends. I have never stopped him, saying I didn’t want to hold him back from living his life, so to say I have enabled it is absolutely fair! (Saying no probably wouldn’t stop him anyway). However, we have kids and they are now old enough to realize what he is doing. After he left for his most recent trip, our eight year old said “I wish Daddy would plan things for ALL of us, and not just himself.” I don’t think he realizes the impact his choices are now making on the kids. They’re old enough to get it. These are things they will remember. When I bring up things like this, its always deny deny, get angry and deny. What do I do to make him wake up and realize how his solo trips are impacting the kids’ view of him?Signed,
