It's Group Therapy Thursday!

Dear Ted and Amy,
I moved in with my 28 year old boyfriend about six months ago and I knew that he was really into video games when we started dating. He’s got a good job and is overall a really nice guy. But his obsession with playing video games with his friends online every second he has to spare is getting pretty irritating. He starts right after he gets home from work and plays for hours. He blows off doing stuff around the house and cancels plans sometimes because of it. Last week, he cancelled dinner plans we had with his parents so he could finish his game. I know I can't "change him" but how can I convince him that he's old enough to prioritize more than video game playing?
