It's Group Therapy Time!

Dear Ted and Amy,
For many years, I’ve hosted Thanksgiving at my house for the whole extended family. We don’t have any kids but we have all of my siblings come, along with their kids and some stray aunts and uncles. This summer, I put out there that it’s a lot of work and expense and I’d appreciate if someone else came forward to do it this year. There were no takers. So, I just sent out a group text again and everyone claims that their house is not big enough. I’ve decided that I’m tired of being a default hostess so I then sent them all a text saying that they had to find another place to go because my husband and I are going out to dinner and we will not be hosting. You would think that I told them I was leaving the family! Everyone is enraged now that their Thanksgiving plans have to be changed. I say either someone step up, or we’re all going to have to find another tradition. Am I the harsh one or do they just need a little pushing to make it happen?
