It's Group Therapy Thursday!

Hi Ted and Amy,
I have a teenage daughter and she is an only child. My husband never wanted to have children so I was happy we had one child. My husband and I are so grateful we have our wonderful daughter. The problem is other teenagers bring up to my daughter that she's "an only child" like it is a bad thing or an insult to her. Occasionally even an adult has mentioned it. I wish people would understand that being an only child is not the child’s decision. What can I do to help my daughter? Do I talk to them directly or what should my daughter say when it is brought up?
