On Part One of this two part episode we hear what money was like for Mayra as she grew up, she shares how her father worked hard to move her and her siblings out of Oakland and into the suburbs. Despite living in the suburbs her dad made sure to still instill in her a street smart mindset as well as a work ethic that has carried her to success. She shares how her mother gave her the responsibility of managing the house hold budget at a young age and how thanks to those budgeting skills she was able to graduate college free of debt. Listen as she shares how she manged to maintain a full-time job and still take on a full class load.
