So I was just minding my business scrolling tiktok yesterday morning and @jumpgirl_jump sent me into a literal spiral. A good spiral, but a spiral nonetheless. The exact quote she said was: "You have to start parenting yourself. You have to start implementing discipline. You have to start keeping your promises to yourself." Her videos are so inspirational for physical and mental fitness and I'm so glad I stumbled on her page. However! As always, we need to self evaluate and unpack the reasons we are who we are before we can implement new goals. Discipline included. 

It is far more beneficial to worry about being the person your dog or your younger self want you to be than it is to worry about others' thoughts of you. Whatever you went through in life to get where you are now, be proud of that, and keep going.

Half the time our problems aren't nearly as big as we make them out to be. If we let things fester in our mind, our brain does it's best to feed and nurture it. And if we aren't careful, those thoughts can cripple us. We owe it to ourselves to keep our minds and bodies healthy. This is just a snippet of something I turned to the other day when I realized I wasn't in a good headspace and I didn't want to unpack and live there.
