We clamor to be like the first century church, but are we REALLY ready to labor with Christ on behalf of His kingdom? That church lived holy, manifested love to enemies, was persecuted, and martyred. If you want the 1st century church, or want to obey Jesus' command as Head of the Church as seen in the letters of Revelation 2-3, then be ready for what comes with it.
