Reporting on the current BCGEU workers strike that was initiated on 15th August, leading to cannabis and liquor shortages across BC Canada.  This video touches on the context behind why this strike is shining a light on a broken industry, and highlights the need for sweeping reforms.  This also serves as a warning to countries who are going through their own legalisation process - don't make the same mistakes as Canada!

Sadly this is not the case, and the advent of legal cannabis in Canada has created a proliferation of plastic cannabis packaging that is typically being used once and then destined for the landfill.

The nascent cannabis industry was the perfect opportunity to do things right from the outset; doing away with old models that value profit with no regard for sustainability.

So why have we done such a bad job so far? How can we improve, and who needs to drive the change?
