Happy New year! Welcome to season 2 of Grow with Bunmi.

Say these words out loud and believe it in your heart.

“This year, I rise strengthened.

Not by my own power,

but through Christ who lives in me.

I can do all things —

the hard things,

the new things,

the things I once feared.

I am empowered for the calling,

sustained for the journey,

and anchored in purpose.

As I grow, I trust the Source of my strength.

This is my declaration for the year

There is regenerative power in God. His creation echoes it and so does you and I.

Have you noticed, experienced, honed or expressed it? You might need to sit with the Spirit on this one cos there’s no way I can do justice to it

One of the reasons why we struggle for so long in a situation even though we pray and throw everything we have at it is that, we have not actually deciphered whose battle it is. Why are you panting at a war that is not yours to fight? It’s time to reevaluate that situation…

If Jesus was to respond to your thoughts today, what would He say? Where is the love? Where is the compassion? Can we stop policing what God has already paid for and focus on making sure we are aligned with what He has done?

Have you seen an injured child hiding his or her wound from a parent before? Why do you think they do this? Depending on the age of the child, it can be for reasons varying from not wanting the pain of the treatment, thinking it will heal by itself, not wanting to be chastised for getting hurt or not wanting to hear “I told you so”.

God wants us to heal and He wants to heal and complete us but we have to be sincere in our desire for healing…
